Riviera Beach native finalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — It’s an exciting time for one of South Florida’s biggest football stars.

Riviera Beach native Devin Hester has been named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Suncoast High grad is widely regarded as the best return man of all time, but he would be the first player to make the Hall primarily as a special teams player.

Hester played for the Bears, Falcons, Ravens, and Seahawks and holds several league records.

This is Hester’s first year of eligibility for the Hall of Fame.

He’ll find out if he gets in, in February.
